"Thank you dear." Ada picked up the double-size cup and sipped it before noticing the atmosphere was all but buzzing with electricity.
Felicia was all but frozen in place, hand extended with a fixed smile that slowly faded as Legion made no effort to return the greeting. The demon moved her gaze to the coffee Felicia had placed before Ada then to Ada herself.
"Another nephilim?" Legion stood, breaking the spell. Felicia withdrew her hand and took a step backward. "How unusual. Are all your acquaintances so exotic?"
"Many of them," Ada reached out for the sugar bowl and added a spoonful to her coffee. "Is that a problem?"
"No." Legion walked around Felicia, studying her. The werewolf gallery director remained still but Ada could see her fingers twitching under the scrutiny. "And you think these creatures will help?"
Harold coughed. "We'd be more inclined to help if you didn't refer to us as 'these creatures,' madam. A little politeness goes a long way, I've always found. Are you sure you won't take tea?"
Legion looked to Ada, who took another sip of her coffee with a raised eyebrow, and sank back into her chair. "Yes please." She forced a smile and laced her fingers together. "That would be lovely."
